How to use the dice roller

  • Choose a die and quantity, or tap Add another die type to mix dice such as 1d20 and 1d4.
  • Set a modifier to add or subtract a fixed number from the total.
  • Or type notation directly: 2d6+3, 1d20+1d4+2, 2d8-1.
  • Tick Show dice sorted to order the displayed values. The roll record keeps the original order.

Notation rules and limits

Dice groups are written NdS and joined with +. You can add one whole-number modifier at the end (+3 or -2). Up to 100 dice per roll, 2–100 sides per die, 10 groups and a modifier of up to ±1000. Expressions such as 2d6-1d8 or 2d6+3+4 are not accepted. Equivalent expressions are stored in one standard form, so 1d6+1d6 is saved as 2d6.

Presets and history

Presets save the dice setup itself, not a result. Choosing a preset or Roll again in your history always makes a fresh roll. The last 100 rolls are kept in this browser; you can clear them at any time.
